PolyPrime has developed “BioPoly™” which causes plastic to biodegrade through a series of chemical and biological processes when disposed of in microbe-rich environments, such as land-fills. Advantages of BioPoly™ include:

Current ASTM standard testing concludes biodegradation within 10 years. - Retains the desirable properties of the plastic.
That means no change of process when printing or converting the sheets. - Material properties are safe and environmentally responsible.
No harmful chemicals in the landfill and it still FDA approved.
BioPoly™ will not begin to biodegrade during normal use. Biodegradation of this material will only take place in an environment rich in microbes.
